Halfway between Golden and Revelstoke

—perfectly located somewhere close to nowhere.

Glacier National Park accommodation that inspires. Somewhere Close to Nowhere—between the small mountain towns of Golden and Revelstoke, B.C.—is a vast expanse of mountains, trees and wilderness. Nestled in that wilderness is the most unique Rogers Pass accommodation near Glacier National Park—the incomparable Heather Mountain Lodge.
From June 15th to September 15th, Heather Mountain Lodge hosts travellers who care to experience British Columbia rather than simply eat and sleep in it. It’s a place to call their own and a welcome upgrade from the standard Golden hotels and regular Revelstoke accommodations.

Accommodation with a difference. Heather Mountain Lodge is a family-owned, classic Canadian timber-frame lodge perched just off the most northerly point of the Trans-Canada Highway in British Columbia’s famous Rogers Pass. This unique and easily accessible alternative to Revelstoke hotels is just 200 metres from the east gate turn-off to Canada’s Glacier National Park.

Each guest room boasts panoramic views of the mountains crowning Rogers Pass — the same “impenetrable peaks” that formed the last barrier to the completion of the Canadian Pacific Railway.

Heather Mountain Lodge is completely self-sufficient, adding an off-the-grid element that stands apart from other Golden motels and Revelstoke hotels. A remote feel, high mountain hospitality, exceptional food and a quieter sleep make Heather Mountain Lodge simply the best choice for accommodation in the Revelstoke-Golden region.

This summer, pioneer a visit to Heather Mountain Lodge and make nowhere your somewhere.

“Oh my god, I loved Heather Mountain Lodge!! Great beds, great room, great bathroom, great food, close to the highway but quiet, so nice to not be in a city. Need I say more!”

Head Chef Dan has been cultivating a flourishing garden beside the pond near the Lodge this summer. Many of the items you may find on your plate have come fresh from his garden. Dan is growing peas, beans, carrots, parsnips, radishes, zucchinis, cucumbers, sunburst squash, potatoes and an ever growing strawberry patch. His herbs and edible flowers are already producing great garnishes such as; basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano, edible pansies and nasturtiums and of course heaps of wild mint. Oh yeah... Dan's also growing blueberries! Even if you aren't staying the night, make sure you come in for lunch or dinner!
